## Official Statements and Reactions

CBSE officials emphasized stress-relief policies. Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj reiterated that *“as per an earlier decision…, no merit list is prepared and declared by CBSE”* and no divisions are awarded. Instead, he noted, *“the board will issue merit certificates to the top 0.1 per cent students”*. He also observed that **“girls outshone boys in both exams”**. These statements align with CBSE’s ongoing policy of not naming rankers, to reduce competition.

Schools across the country are congratulating students. (As one principal noted informally, the focus is on *“hard work and learning”*, not just ranks.) Several state education departments issued congratulatory messages. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted praise, saying he was *“delighted by the strong performance of our students”*.
